smudge is a collaboration between Jamie Kruse and Elizabeth Ellsworth.
Our current project meets sites and moments where the geologic and the human converge.
We creatively respond to the complex of forces we encounter there:
the natural, built, historic, social, strategic and the imagined.
Making the Geologic Now: Responses to Material Conditions of Contemporary Life was released on December 4, 2012.
smudge's work is included in Geoff Manaugh's Landscape Futures book, released March 2013.
smudge launched Repository: A Typological Guide to America's Ephemeral Nuclear Infrastructure June 28, 2012, supported by the Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in the Fine Arts
Geologic City launched September 2012
